uClinux for Nios II general question.

This is not a technical question. I want to know several think about the history of linux on nios ans nios II. - What is exactly the microtronix release ? - The uClinux from www.uclinux...

While all this is related to the no-MMU distribution, IMHO the much more interesting one is the MMU-based "Full"-Linux distribution maintained together with the no-MMU flavor in the NIOS-Wiki, the NIOS Forum and the mailing list.

The MMU-based distribution originally had been done by WindRiver (payed by Altera) and now is maintained here as a fast evolving open-Source project.
