uClinux-dist-20070130 build error

I follow the UClinuxDist's step to build uClinux. but alaways happen "Can't run cmd gzip -f -9" make menuconfig make vendor_hwselect SYSPTF=~/hwprj/nios_0.prf make romfs make ...
