uCLinux 2.6.12 in NIOS II-Microtronix IDE

I want to use NIOS II IDE under Windows to debug linux-2.6.12. (It could be the same for other kernels) I succeded to compile it under Linux and it works but I want to modify kernel for my appl...

There is GDB for that purpose.

But I don't use them. I would prefer debug by print.
