U-Boot Monitor Update

Hi All,

The latest U-Boot source code and pre-built binaries for Nios-II 5.0 are now available at:

http://www.psyent.com/download (http://www.psyent.com/download)

There is now direct support for the following boards:

-Altera Nios II Development Kit, Cyclone Edition (EP1C20)

-Altera Nios II Development Kit, Stratix Edition (EP1S10)

-Altera Nios II Development Kit, Stratix Professional Edition (EP1S40)

Patches for Nios-II 5.0 were submitted to the maintainers of the main U-Boot project site at:

http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/u-boot (http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/u-boot)

But please be aware that it can sometimes take several months for a patch to be included in the main

source tree due to the project's popularity.

If you have one of the supported boards and can spare a little time for testing, please try the 5.0 code

(or at least the binaries) and post any bugs. Also, we're working on support for the UP3 board ... if you

would like to help in the coding or testing, please send me a message.
