starting nios2-terminal stand alone

Hi, I have programmed my application in the flash of my CycloneII board and also some software. I want to use this more or less stand alone, but how can I start the nios2-terminal to communicat...

From an SDK shell, type: 

nios2-download -g <your_elf>.elf && nios2-terminal
