SOPC 5.1 generation time/speed

i've finally switched over from quartus 4.2/nios ii 1.1 to quartus 5.1/nios ii 5.1

in converting my existing design, i have the impression that sopc generation goes a lot slower. i took an hour for the generation under 5.1 vs about half that under nios ii 1.1 (exact same laptop computer with 1 gb ram)

has anybody else noticed the same thing? any explanation why i might be seeing this?

Follow up: yes, I re-generated under SOPC builder 4.2 and it dropped down to 15 minutes.

Is this right? Do I have something set up wrong or did SOPC slow way down?
