Serial connection not working on nios 2 board

Hi, I've tried to connect my pc to the nois2 board according to the nios_gsg_stratix_1s40.pdf, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've tested the RS 232 cable and its working fine....

Are you sure you are using a design that uses that as its form of communication? And judging by this <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>

Can you clarify what you are trying to do?
