rs232

Hi

I am a beginner of nios II .i have tried several tutorials and have been sucessful . the problem now is that i cannot interface the rs232 .I tried several c codes but all are not working .If someone could please write a c code to interface the rs232 on the up3 kit . I am using all evaluation version softwares available from altera.I even tried the code given to bala on this forum but it does not work .please send me the full code.
