Resetting FPGA with NIOS processor programmed

Hello,

I have a Cyclone EP3C FPGA configured with a NIOS processor and some I/O's.

Is there somebody who can explain to me how I can reset the FPGA and the NIOS processor.

Do I need to connect come external reset-circuity to the FPGA or to the reset_n pin which is connected to the NIOS-processor.

Thank you for any responses and best regards,

Wamor

    Hello, Wamor,

You can connect a button to the reset_n pin of your system. This is how I usually do. Not sure, if this is what you asked about though.

Thank you Olga for you reply. I have connected a resistor and capacitor to the reset_n pin in order to have a power-on reset.

This work fine for my now.
