Quartus Simulator netlist output

Where does Quartus place the output files from the "Generate Functional Simulation Netlist" button in the Simulator Tool? The Quartus II handbook shows a .scf file being created but I cannot find that type of file anywhere in my project directory. Am I missing a step somewhere?
