Honored ContributorQuartus II 7.0 and Cyclone III
Altera had released them. Please check their web site.
I had installed them on my Linux PC. It seems the nios2 gcc of 7.0 is the same as 6.1.Forum Discussion

Altera_Forumand seems to be the same as 6.0 and 5.1 and 5.0 maybe only a change in version string http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

See my post (http://forum.niosforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6608) in the software forum (sorry, I didn't notice the topic here in General Discussion) - it seems that there's absolutely no development on nios2-gcc since 2005.
