Quartus 5.1 and Nios II IDE 1.1 compatibility

Dear all,

few days ago, I updated ... http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif ... my development environment with the following configuration:

Quartus / SOPC 5.1 Build 176 (full install)

IDE NIOS II 1.1.0 Build 137 (full install)

and I meet with several new issues under the NIOS II IDE http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif :

a. The folder NIOS II device drivers folder doesn't appear any more,

b. If I compile the Web server application example within the 2S60 standard design

example, the alt_sys_init.c file, automatically generated, doesn't refer any more

to the device driver's declaration and initialization macro (x_INSTANCE and

x_INIT) as the lan91c111, etc.

What's wrong ? Any help is welcome ...

Gaël

I think that probably Nios II and Quartus II versions should go together... that is... you should use the 5.1 version both for Nios II and for Quartus II...

    bye

Support for Cyclone II was introduced in the Nios II 5.0 release; you should use this version at the minimum. (the Quartus II 5.0/Nios II 5.0 releases occured when Cyclone II chips and development boards became available).
