/proc/sysid ???

Again, going bact to the old Microtronics distribution, if there was an avalon_sysid module (or something like that) you could query /proc/sysid to get the hardware configuration.

I see that a perl script looking for that module still exists in the new distribution. But how do I enable it? Is there a new way to get the FPGA configuration version? Thanks in
