Problems with IDE 5.0

Dear all,

it´s the first time I´m using the NIOS II IDE V5.0, but I have experience with the version 1.0.

Now, when I complie a program (a simple hello world) and download it to the device, I get the following response:

Using cable "ByteBlasterMV [LPT1]", device 2, instance 0x00

Pausing target processor: not responding.

Resetting and trying again: FAILED

Leaving target processor paused

The same happens when I use the USB Blaster cable.

Does anyone know what is happening?

Before download software, you should download FPGA image with Nios first. Than IDE can communicate with Nios in the FPGA via JTAG.
