Problem with program_flash

Hi. I get this output when I run program_flash to program my Nios II kit:

Programming device ext_flash...

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Nios II. It functioned properly at the first times I run it, but then suddenly it stopped. I have looked at the program_flash script and removed the --silent switch, but I get no error messages. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Do you need anything more info? The file compiles properly and I get an aproxmently 1.5 MB elf file.
