I use Nios II IDE 5.0, PC speed is 2.533 Ghz but speed of editor is more like 0.5, it's horrible slow, the editor always hangs when I type characters (I only use 2 finger system) e.g....

but I have no idea, what option to switch off to get "no hangs", sometimes it disturbs less, sometimes more. I worked with a 333Mhz PC with Visual Studio 6 and Visual Studio 2003 and I was happy with the speed (IntelliSense worked well), now with my 2.55 Ghz PC (1GByte RAM) and NIOS IDE, I have the feeling as if I worked with my first 286-PC(10Mhz,20MegaByte Hard disk). Everything I have seen which uses JAVA is slow, simple slow. Sorry I don't want to bother the developers of Eclispe, they make great work, but at the moment I'm not happy with the speed of this editor. Does anyone has a setup for visual c (error parser ?) or works with visual c or visual studio ?. Is there any other debugger which works with NIOS II setup?
