problem of configure kenel

I have some problem.-.-;; when I do configure kenel step.-.-;;

I just follow the linux distribution quick start guide....

the linux distribution quick start guide explains that

linux kernel v2.6.11-uc0 configuration dos window will appear after click configure kernel.... then ensure that the correct development board

but...-.-;;

i could see only a dos window is suddenly disappeared after show under message
