probelm of LCD 1602

Hello,everyone:

I am a green hand of studying Niosii.Recently I have worked on a small project of LCD1602 with build in Character LCD IP core in order to dispaly some words on the screen.

The probelm is there was no result on the screen display but there was no error When I built the system in SOPC， bulit the project in Nios, and run as the hardware step by step. I don't know why.

    did you set the LCD as default output in the bsp (or system library if you are using the old IDE?).

    I think that by default the standard output goes to the jtag uart.
