prebuilt Ethernet to RS232 bride application

I need a 10/100 to RS232 (HDLC) ethernet bridge solution. I know all the pieces are out there, but I’m wondering if there is a complete solution already, or something very close. I would like to leverage a pre-built dev kit.

    Digi is our source (www.digi.com). They've got various models, from one RS232/422 port on up.

    If you're an OEM, there are several companies that make 10baseT to RS232 modules that are only about twice as big as the RJ45 socket (sorry, I forgot their names).

    interesting - but Im specifically looking to do this with a Nios for the added flexability of both the processor and the FPGA - but I should look at one of those for price comparisons..
