package installations

Hi,

Recently i installed quartus on linux(ubuntu).It is in /opt.but if i installed any package through synaptic package manager ,where it will store?

and through terminal where it will stroe?? For quartus there is no icon on desktop, and for firefox how desktop icon came to my desktop.

    As I told you multiple times already this forum isn't the correct place for those kind of questions. This forum is about the Linux operating system running on the Nios II forum.

    The question isn't even related to Quartus or Altera, just go to a Ubuntu forum.
