on_chip memory fitter problem?

this week,i found a problem that when i fitter my nios2 design in quartus4.2,the report always show: total memory bits :8192 ,i change the on_chip ram size,such as 8k,16k,32k ,the report is also 8192...

I think I've heard of this before but I can't remember if there was a logical answer for this or not. I do recall that the main summary window will always show the correct number of bits (correct number of used bits that is).
