nois flash programmer

i am using nois flash programmer to program a flash with data file ,the flash is programmed successfully with no errors , but when i try to read the written data into the flash i found that it differs from the binary file i attached in the programmer window ,also when i tried to attach a file contain only one word the programmer says that it programmed 1 KB to the memory so what is this excess data ,and is there a specific format for the binary file to be programmed in the flash.

please i need help urgently

    no i am working on my own board containing cyclone 1 FPGA ,flash memory numonyx M29256GL ,also i am using nois 7.2.
