No space left on device when compilng recent NIOS2 kernel

Dear all,

I'm experiencing failure of nios2-objcopy after git-pulling the latest NIOS2 community maintained kernel. The objcopy fails with No space left on device. An strace shows that a

write fails with EFBIG.

Does anybody experience the same problem? Is there a solution to that?
