NIOSII IDE

Hi all,

I am working with the UP3 cycloneII kit. My application involves computing FFT. I am running the C code for FFT in nios IDE as c program, it is taking 2 hours to find the 240 point FFT. Mean while I am getting the following message in the console

nios2-terminal:exiting due to I/O error communicating with target

and it comes out. Several times this is happened. Is anyone helps me why it is coming like this? . Thanks in advance.
