Nios1 with USB blaster

Hi. I am trying to use USB blaster with nios1 and custom board. I compiled for the debugger and i am trying to invoke the debugger by typing nd <file name.out>

I see the message that nios-gdb-server is starting up, but then it triying to connect using ByteBlaster and fails to do so.

Were can i point the gdb server to use USB blaster?

    I think the option is something like --cable=usb-blaster but this may not be supported on the old Nios I tools (I can&#39;t remember if USB-Blaster was released when Nios I was still under development).
