    It is scheduled to be fix in the following versions of Quartus :

    Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software 26.1.1Pro

    Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software 26.1std

Thanks for the confirmation.

 

Changing the file manually works as expected. But the file gets overwritten every time the BSP gets regenerated. Therefore I personally prefer using an external timer, as this is far more reliable.

 

2 Questions remain:

  1. Could you already give a hint, in which version this bug is scheduled to be fixed?
  2. Is there any other side effect of having the NIOS initialized last (as it is currently generated from BSP), besides that timer & alarms are not working for other drivers?
