1 month agoThanks for the confirmation.
Changing the file manually works as expected. But the file gets overwritten every time the BSP gets regenerated. Therefore I personally prefer using an external timer, as this is far more reliable.
2 Questions remain:
- Could you already give a hint, in which version this bug is scheduled to be fixed?
- Is there any other side effect of having the NIOS initialized last (as it is currently generated from BSP), besides that timer & alarms are not working for other drivers?

It is scheduled to be fix in the following versions of Quartus :
Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software 26.1.1Pro
Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software 26.1std
