NIOS II upgrade sent out

I'm currently using the NIOS II software that was sent out with the renewal kit. I'm currently stuck using the webpack version of Quartus because when I try to use the one in the kits (using a short term eval license) after closing Quartus and re-opening it I get this showing up on most of the IP's in SOPC builder "(NOT INSTALLED)". I've found that re-installing the NIOS II software fixes this but it's kinda a pain to do if I need to make a change. The reason why I was using a short term (7-8 day) license is that we currently use Quartus II v3 and have had no reason to upgrade to version 4/4.1 Since I'm just evaluating NIOS II right we have no plans on buying the latest Quartus unless we do move to NIOS II. (I also wasn't able to grab a license using a MAC address and Altera ID using the instructions given in the upgrade kit because when we bought the development board nobody registered it ...... doh!!!!)

So has anyone encountered this, and if so is there a work around? (because I don't want to be targetting the 1S10ES, I want to see what it actually does in the product which is a larger Stratix FPGA)

You can tell it where to look for the components in sopc builder. File>Sopc builder setup.

enter the path in the component library search path.

    That should do it.

If it doesn't work tell me and I'll find out what file to edit...
