nios ii simulation using modelsim

HI

i am using a flash module that can't be synthesised by quartus but can be simulated by modelsim .

i want to use this module as a part of niosii module, i generated a nios system using this module and i want to use Eclipse to drive modelsim without quartus synthesis.

is there ant way to do so?
