NIOS II problem

I am new to Altera DE2. I am using Quartus 9.1. and every time try to build a new project , when I run NIOS II I see all other project . that giving me error during building the project , like file ~/*.elf not existing. so I can write any project in C language. please any one can help me.Thank you
