NIOS II Perspective Missing from Eclipse

I just installed version 9.1sp2 of the Eclipse tools for NIOS II. All the documentation makes it sound like there is automatically a "NIOS II" perspective available. It is not available in my installation.

Window-->Open Perspective-->Other... yields the following list of available perspectives:

C/C++ (default)

CVS Repository Exploring

Debug

Planning

Resource

Team Synchronizing

What do I have to do to get the NIOS II perspective enabled?

    Hello Steve,

    If you're using Windows 7, you could check out the discussion in thread "Missing "Run configurations" in Nios II EDS 9.1" (http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19765).

    In general the fix is to run NIOS II EDS with "Run as Administrator" option. Using XP or Vista Compatibility mode might also help.
