NIOS II Linux on Linux

I would like to compile the NIOS II Linux v1.1 distro on my Linux box, but all the tools are for cygwin http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

Where / how can I get the nios2- tools and Linux Makefiles for the NIOS II Linux distro.

I know it shouldn&#39;t matter if I compile on Cygwin or in Linux, but I feel moer comfortable developing in Linux.

If anyone at Microtronix, could give me a few pointers that would be great. If anyone has a "vendors" entry for the latest version uClinux ( 20040408) thay would be great.
