NIOS II IDE v6.0 doesn't respond very often

Hi all, My Nios II IDE doesn't respond very often. It looks like it refreshes the workspace every n second. I searched for/tried options/preferences in the IDE, but nothings seems to help. ...

Yes, I've seen some of these problems too. It is so effing annoying that I just about lose my mind. I have *sometimes* found that emptying the trashcan and getting rid of temporary internet files and the like helps but not for long. I will try the suggestion bigboss made. I've also noticed that it seems to access the hard disk constantly, anyone else notice this? I am still running 5.1 (scared to upgrade tp 6.0)

Lastly, it seems to get worse if I have the IDE running for an extended period like two days. I've convinced myself that doing a reboot helps but I'm not sure. I suspect a memory leak.
