nios ii help

hi everyone, i'm new to nios and fpga but i want to create something from it. i want make use if its GPIO as an input and output with a keypad and a solenoid respectively. can somebody guide me on creating it. i'm using its qsys and system builder too. i'm using a version 11 of niosii and quartusii and i'm using de2 115 cyclone 4. thank you for the help.
