Nios II dev board flashing status LEDs

I've just acquired an older Nios II dev board (Stratix EP 1s10 version)

When I power up the board the Power, Loading and User green leds all flash continuously. This situation is not mentioned in the users guide.

I've got the software installed (v5.1) and running but when I try to

restore to default config it seems that the board is not responding.

Connections seem fine and the power supply is a solid 9v.

Anyone know what this means?

    Edit: Sorry I read your message wrong.

    I thought there might be some Flash device that still contained data. But that shouldn't do anything with those LEDs as far as I know :P.

    After moving my development system to another location the problem went away. The outlet I was using to power the board was controlled by a digital timer that somehow got turned OFF. Apparently the timer provided a small amount of leakage current when turned OFF which must have been enough to cause those 3 LEDs to blink.
