Nios II 12.0 / Java SE binary crashes when starting debug-session with USB-Blaster

I was working with Quartus II 12.0 / Nios II 12.0 IDE for several months without any problems. Recently i was not able anymore to start a Nios II debug-session. The windows error-report mentions a problem in the module jtag_atlantic.dll. Has anyone an idea how to fix this issue?
