Nios Development Board

http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif Early shipments of the Nios Development Board, Stratix II Edition used engineering sample parts, indicated by “ES” after the part number. Later shipments of the board use an EP2S30F672C5 device. Whether they have different pin connections to components on the board,

for example Button: SW0--W24(EP2S30F672C5), how about for EP2S30F672C5ES

    The pin-assignments should be identical. You can double check yourself, though, by inspecting the quartus assignment (.qsf) files in the Nios kit between &#39;ES&#39; and non-ES designs. The design in Quartus must be re-compiled with the correct device assignment, though, since .sof files for Stratix II "ES" are not compatible with the non-ES devices.
