I know some information about the plan of Nios(NiosII). When I see the Nios "5", I totally confused. Where are nios 4? Is it NiosII or Nios? Maybe Altera wants to add Nios as a componet inside of Quartus like SOPC, then the version is the same as the quartus. However, Nios is not only a IP core, but also needs Compiler,Debugger....(IDE). In my opinion, Altera could provides a full latest install package of Quartus including SOPC, Nios(IP+IDE), and seperated latest package of them for multi-purpose. It is more comfortable that all versions are seperated
