New Linux Kernel 1.4 installation

Dear Sirs: Could you, plase, tell me how install the new linux kernel 1.4 in the past, if i remember well there was an exe for installing everything. Thanks in advance Jorge Domingo AL...

I don't need wine support for sure.

I don't really need eclipse either I am used to command line for everything else.

I can see how configuring the kernel can be just like any other 2.6 kernel but

how do you load the kernel into the target. Are there a few commands that you

can list that I need to use.
