Microtronix CDK anybody

Has anybody bought and used the Microtronix "Nios II Linux Cross Development Kit (CDK)".

We have problems compiling c++ on Linux (yes, we tried the hippo toolchain) and one of our options would be to buy the CDK.

1. how is it?

2. does it work with nios 6.0

3. is it the solution (or at least a solution)
