micro c os ii lag problem

Hello I have made two test benches for a project I am working on. In the timing and functional simulations the code works perfectly. However, once I put it on the FPGA, it only runs properly without micro c os ii. Once I add in micro c os ii it seems to cause teh hw to lag. http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

Anyone have any ideas of what may be causing this? I have several altsyncram blocks used in the hw block and the FPGA is almost totally filled up. There are no timing problems.
