Maxplus 2 compilation error

HI :)

I have downloaded the MAXPLUS 2 student edition software from altera and got the correct license file for it too.

But when I write VHDL codes, during compilation the compiler shows the following error:

"Current license file support does not include 'VHDL design entry' feature or application".

Can anyone please help me resolve this error??

I guess, it's simple. MAX+PLUS II student edition isn't supporting VHDL entry. What's the reason, your trying to use this old software instead of the recent Quartus tool?

I need the MAX PLUS 2 software only to write VHDL codes. We are using the same software in college and it works perfectly fine there. I don't understand why its not working on my computer..

Are you sure that the college version is the student version?

Maybe they have a licensed version...
