IP-NIOS standalone license

Hello,

I consider buying standalone IP-NIOS license. Is it possible to use the license with free Quartus II Web edition and generate not time limited programming files (for commercial products)?

Is Nios (not Nios II) still avalible? I can't find information about standalone Nios license.

What about Nios II IDE license. Is it included with IP-NIOS?

Regards

Kamil

The differences between Quartus subscription and Quartus web eddition are (as far as i know - please correct me if this is wrong/incomplete):

*) reduced optimization options at the web eddition (full optimization can be enabled by installing a subscription license)

*) web eddition does not support all altera devices (even if you install a subscription license)

So regarding your question - yes you can generate a non-time limited Nios design with the web eddition (if you have the NIOS license)

as far as i know, the IDE is under GNU license - it is free of charge

    Hope this helps
