Assuming you installed uClinux after installing the Nios IDE, it should have automatically have registered the plugins.
Check the plugins directory in the following folder: altera\kits\nios2\bin\eclipse\plugins - Altera_Forum

Now,I find new questions: when I create a kernal project, error : =========================================== Project cannot be created Reason: Resource /kernal_1c20/build/arch/nios2nommu does not exist =========================================== - Altera_Forum

I also encountered the same problem "nios2nommu does not exist"
I reinstalled everything and still the same problem. I could see the directory arch/niosnommu in the uncompressed download file. Iam stuck now. Any Help please - Altera_Forum

I removed eveything including a older cygwin installtion (and removed all registry entry related to cygnus) . Then reinstalled Quartus 4.2 with SP1 and Nios 1.1
Now this error does not happen.
