IDE Editor colour rules

Version 5.0, of the IDE, is based upon Eclipse 3.0.x. Previous versions upon 2.1.x. So.... Altera's not likely to provide documentation along the lines of what you're asking for, as it already exists for Eclipse. What I've found, is that buying yourself a good book on Eclipse is better than wading through all of the web-based information. I'd recommend "Eclipse in Action", though I think just about any book on Eclipse would help.
