i dont think it is a real "bug" just an annoyance i experienced, too. and i gave up finding the option to "save view settings" - got somehow used to it by not using the ide anymore http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif btw, stepping thru your code may sometimes influence the results! (even with -O0) try using the 'nios2-elf-insight' debugger tool, my suggestion. regards, martin
