IDE 6.1 Debugger problem

Hi After upgrading to NIOS 6.1 from 6.0 debugger does not operate .NIOS6.1 debugger starts but then comes up with a message;

"Current language: auto;

currently asm mi_cmd_stack_list_frames: No stack.

No symbol "new" in current context." and stops .

Any idia what is going on? Debugger use to work fine with this progject.
