I have a license, but SOPC built a time-limited version anyway

I am using 8.0 with its latest service pack. I have a floating license. I kicked off a compile of one of my projects, then I kicked off a compile of another of my projects. In the second project, there was a collision when SOPC builder went to access the floating license because the first project was already using it. The second SOPC wasn't able to get the license, so it went ahead and built a time-limited version of the Nios processor. I didn't look closely at the logs, and went and built the entire Quartus project, only to find out about this time-limited version problem after much time wasted.

I need to change the behavior so that if I do this again, SOPC builder will just fail with an error instead of compiling a time-limited version. Is there any way I can do this?

in Tools > License Setup there is a Wait For Floating License checkbox. i'm not sure its in 8.0, that's the first thing to try

Thanks for the info. I can't seem to find it in 8.0, but I'll look for it in subsequent versions when I upgrade. I think it might first appear in 9.0 or 9.1.
