how to upload the linux in EP2C35 Board

Dear all I have only a board of EP2C35 (Altera dev kit), but i don't known how to run the linux . i select the Cyclone dev kit or stratixii config.but when i select the Upload the ker...

was the linux downloaden into ram?

it run on ram.

i do not know why we need upload into flash!

what that means?
