how to study nios?

i am a beginner,i don't know much about nios.so how can i start to study nios.i found some reference books on altera's web,but i found out that they are not suitable for beginner.so what can i do,where can i find some simple examples?

another problem is that people around me do not know nios,either.so there is nobody can teach me.can you give me some advices?

    Hi,

    it depends on what you are: a software programmer or a hardware one.

    Anyway, I can advice you to install quartus II, Nios or Nios II and to begin with the tutorials and documents that come with; they are really sufficient and simple.
