how many does network speed reach?

I use sls uClinux on Nios II Evaluation Kit, Cyclone III Edition. I tested network speed. I found the network speed is 1.4Mbytes. Who does know how many the network speed can reach? Thanks

This is approximately the value that I measure on my system.
